Mikael designs lights for theatre of all types and events. Mikael’s recent work includes: Directors Project (Shaw Festival), iHo, Twelve Pound Look,Top Girls, Lady from the Sea (Shaw Festival, ALD), Aladdin (Mirvish/Disney, PA), CATS (Mirvish, ALD) Barber of Seville, Merry Widow (Opera York), Peter Pan (Yellow Door), Full House! (Starvox) NINE (Randolph), Melancholy Play (Empty Room Collective), Spring Showcase 2012, 2013, 2014 (George Brown Dance), Waiting Room (Helix Dance Project). Mikael has designed for many companies and institutions in Toronto and participated in the Banff Centre for the Arts lighting design internship for two seasons. Mikael has assisted at Mirvish, Shaw Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Calgary, Opera Lyra, the National Ballet School of Canada and Banff Centre amongst others. Mikael is a graduate of Ryerson University and an associate member of the Associated Designers of Canada. Mikael is also the General Manager for the Lower Ossington Theatre where he has worked on over 70 productions. Mikael recently received a Broadway World award for his work on the Rocky Horror Show.
